Orphans of God

'Orphans of God' by Avalon. The message is clear - God knows no orphans. He is the father to the fatherless. I found this video on a fellow adoptive moms sight. It is just beautiful. I have complete faith that Jacob is in God's hands right now and being well taken care of until we meet in China. Scroll down to the bottom to turn off the music then come back and push play.

Bald is in, right???

Jacob received his care package today and they were nice enough to send us some photos of him with his goodies. The first thing we said when we opened his file was "They shaved him again". I have never seen hair grow in so quickly. He has been shaved and had it grow back thick more times then I can count over the last 2 years of photos that we have of him. Oh well, hair or no hair we are still thrilled to call him our son. So for a photo album we sent him a 3 ring binder so that we can send him more pictures to add to it over the next few months. We held a 3 ring binder up to Annabel to compare her size with his. They look about the same. I had to laugh. I told Mark we are finally going to have the twins I have always wanted. I am so sad for his foster family. Especially his foster mother. I know she is going to be devastated when he leaves as she has had him for 2 years now and they are very attached. That breaks my heart. Please remember her in your prayers.

Video clip of Jacob in China

We were very blessed to receive a short video clip of Jacob. He was a bit shy for the gentleman taping him and you can't hear everything he is saying. But it sure made my day to see his sweet little spirit. He has such a sweet voice. I can't wait to make him a part of our family. You can scroll down to the bottom and hit the stop button on the music so you can hear the video.

Care package is on it's way

Jacob's first care package is on it's way to China. He should receive it this week. There are some fun things in there for him and his foster brother Terry to enjoy together. This time I sent the photo album in a three ring binder and the pictures in page protectors. That way I can send more pictures in his next care package and he can add them in there. I am hoping maybe his foster mom might have some photos to add in there as well of the past two years she has had him in her home.

Meet Jacob

Well I finally made Jacob his own blogsite. It will be to journal all the happenings before we meet him, our time in China as well has once we return home. We hope you enjoy reading it and following along. I can't believe we are off to China again so soon. I fell very blessed. Jacob is 3 years old and is in Luoyang China. He is blessed to be living in a foster home right now with a family. It will help him adjust to family life here in the US much easier. We cannot wait to meet him.
